Ekansh Agrawal is the Founder & CEO of ScaleX Tax, a UAE-based tax advisory and tax technology firm focused on helping businesses navigate the intersection of taxation, technology and e-invoicing. He is the author of the first book on UAE e-invoicing that is approved by the National Media Authority, UAE.
A rank holder chartered accountant, Ekansh brings about 15 years of experience across India and the GCC, having advised businesses in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman and India. His professional journey includes leadership roles within the Big Four (KPMG) across GCC and experience with one of India’s leading law firms in indirect taxation (Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan), where he advised multinational corporations, family offices, financial institutions, and large regional groups on complex tax, regulatory, and digital transformation matters.
Widely recognised in the market as “Mr. E-Invoicing”, Ekansh has emerged as one of the UAE’s most active voices on e-invoicing, tax technology and indirect tax. He has trained over 5,000 professionals, advised more than 2,000 businesses, and has been closely involved in helping organisations prepare for the next generation of tax and finance transformation across the region. Ekansh has received multiple professional recognitions and awards throughout his career.
Beyond client work, Ekansh is passionate about making tax more practical, accessible, and engaging. He is the host of the Walk the Talk podcast, an active member of Toastmasters, and a frequent speaker at industry conferences, professional bodies, and leadership forums across the GCC. He has also held leadership and committee positions with various chapters of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), including serving on the core committee of the Bahrain Chapter and the Taxation Society UAE.
